There were three big purchases (not in terms of money, but with regards to how important they are to the set) that I had to make in the end, and this was actually super nice because it made the MOC feel much more thought out as opposed to just being cobbled together from old and existing elements.

He, and the pilot now that I think about it, are probably both from one of the handful of Lego Star Wars advent calendars I’ve had for the last few years in a row, but they really add to the whole mishmash nature of Jedha that made the sequence so immersive in the movie.Įven as I started to build the MOC, small and simple as it is I soon realised that a lot more things would need to be acquired in order to really make it shine. The exact designation escapes me, but I think there’s a ‘Q’ in his name somewhere. I used more Mega Bloks Pyrates pieces and built a little shelter in the corner of the MOC, and added a barrel alongside yet another minifig that I’d found: an Imperial astromech droid. Unfortunately, after watching Rogue One again I realised that this was nowhere near enough of them to do the scene justice.īecause the Hovertank came with a Chirrut Imwe minifigure, and I found a lovely orange Rebel pilot (he matches the cargo crate on the tank!) while going through my many boxes looking for stormtroopers, I also wanted to include them. I think, not including my 2001 pair (the paint apps on these are far too basic to use in a respectable MOC), I found six in all, a shoulder-pauldroned sandtrooper among them. The little squad was looking good, but there were still things missing. Then, after digging up all my stormtroopers and finally finding all the helmets, I put them on and around the hovertank. The stud shooter can, of course, fire.Even those two small changes really alter the feel of the vehicle from bog standard to battle-ready. There is a big leaf outside along with a stud shooter for defense. There is a printed 1×2 tile along with some clips for blasters. Pressing a lever on the side will explode the satellite dish, however, making it fly off pretty far! The mini outpost has a black chair on a turntable. The satellite dish can rotate at the base thanks to its 1-stud connection. There’s a satellite dish on one side with a seat on the other side. The build in the set is a small Imperial outpost on Scarif. None of them use stud shooters because they don’t need to. The Death Trooper is the pauldron version previously from 75156, the stormtrooper is the regular version in a lot of sets, while the Shoretrooper is the regular version from 75171. The “set” includes four minifigures: a Death Trooper, a Stormtrooper, and two Shoretroopers.
